We bought this on video abet in 2003 and for whatever reason it is a family accepted every Halloween. The Skeletons are some of the best characters around! The animation is not tremendous, but it is very titillating and the legend is straight forward halloween adventure. The 2007 DVD we have is dim in viewing at times and the added scene of the dancing contest was recent and not valuable. If fact the dancing pumpkin fable is ample without that piece. I smooth like it and recommend it.
I bought this on tidy sale, so paid less than half of the unique listed tag, and so this was a grand value! Okay, so the CGI could have been a bit better (faces were a somewhat stupid), and the dancing contest seems to have been added to do the movie more PC (really, are kids going to engage up on “pumpkin diversity”? ), but all in all this was a suitable narrative and one that I had not seen before. The three included Casper cartoons and three songs on the included CD added more value to the package, although the songs probably don’t compose great sense unless you have watched the movie.
