This is the beginning of the third Tenchi series. Tenchi Muyo has a very involved following and may be the most favorite series in Japanese anime. It has favorable graphics and very suitable character development. It is designed for age 13 to adult, and seems to take the hearts of people of all ages. There are many web “shrines” dedicated to the various characters.
The series begins with Tenchi leaving home to go to school in Tokyo, and his admirers are not contented about it. Although Tenchi thinks of himself as an ordinary boy of seventeen, he is actually descended from the crown prince of the Planet Jurai. He also seems to attract the affections of sparkling and much women. Through a variety of circumstances a renowned spot pirate, Ryoko; and her rival, Aeka, the first princess of Jurai have become house guests at Tenchi’s Father’s home. They are both madly in adore with Tenchi and constantly fight over him. Since they both maintain supernatural powers, these arguments can be quite disruptive; and Tenchi is elated to be starting a fresh life in Tokyo.
Two original major characters are introduced in this series — Sakuya a cute classmate, and Yugi a supernatural being of unknown intent.

This series is more stylized than previous Tenchi series in character drawings and actions. Although I rob the style of the previous series, I gather this one quite exquisite. There is smooth a lot going on tedious the scenes, and the character’s personalities are composed being explored.
I am an avid worshipper or the Tenchi Muyou! universe. If I were forced to catch three well-liked anime, Tenchi would undoubtably obtain its draw into the list. This is why this DVD instills feelings shock, depression, and suicidal tendencies. The animation is on par with Sailor Moon TV episodes at their best moments (for all of you Moonies, buy note: this is not a compliment) . Perhaps the conventional animators caught the Plague; there has to be a rational explanation for why this series’ animation lacks smootheness, detail, and height/weight proportionate characters. Tenchi’s grunge motif seems out of spot for those of us who are accustomed to the more retro-80s ogle of any other Tenchi incarnation. The place is debased to something one would accept on a Saturday morning cartoon (yes, I ragged the ‘c’ word; pardon my indiscretion) . The monsters (I tranquil don’t understand what they were thinking will cell-phone man) once again remind me of Bishoujo Senshi in tackiness and lack of quality and originality. Furthemore, the music for the ending is an affront against god (unless you actually like japanese-folk-country) . However, this is serene Tenchi, and Tenchi in Toukyou’s appeal mainly rests in its relation to the rest of the Tenchi universe. If you have to notice all of Tenchi, luxuriate in. The series does win slightly better, but not enough to warrant purchasing the series. I would have given this DVD one star, but Ryo-Ohki! turns into a spacious, pink mecha, and you have to admit that’s aesthetic kawaii. If I sounded somewhat acidic, it is merely due to the fact that I treasure Tenchi Muyou, Tenchi Universe, the three movies, and Blooming Sammy, and this was most disappointing.
