For five extraordinary seasons, “Hart to Hart” was about the most fun you could have in an hour without getting into any misfortune. Sidney Sheldon created the characters but it was really a stroke of genius to cast Wagner and Powers. Wagner took his icy Alexander Munday persona from “It Takes a Thief” and unbiased made him richer and happier, with a delicate companion he got to maintain. Stefanie Powers always had a sure something but had never really found the legal share, until Hart to Hart. Jennifer Hart came so naturally that you couldn’t assist thinking she wasn’t really acting at all. Reach to mediate of it, the same could be said of Robert Wagner’s seemingly effortless turn as Jonathan Hart.
This was heaven for light mystery fans. There was always plenty of fun banter between Jonathan and “Mrs. H” and enough laughable situations mixed in with the latest week’s adventure to preserve everyone cheerful pink. Not to be undervalued as the reason the explain was such a broad hit, was Lionel Stander’s role as their butler, Max. Max was mighty more like family than hired succor, and in the show’s opening every week, you knew apt away Max was an distinguished fragment of the proceedings. Label Snow’s “Hart to Hart” theme at the opening of the reveal was light and breezy, and fans looked forward to hearing it every week. Snow would finally become well-known for his fretful theme for “The X-Files.”

The domestic and mystery adventures of the self-made man, Jonathan, and his ex-journalist wife, Jennifer, made for a charming and breezy hour of pleasure. The adventures of the spohisticated couple, who it turned out were impartial like us, only rich, was a immense plot to unwind at the demolish of a long day, and aloof is. Every TV mystery fan will want to take this one up. Almost 30 years later, it looks so dated… so different from today’s expeditiously paced, violent, end-twisting, loud, in-your-face TV.
STILL we savor it. The stories are so simple… and Wagner and Powers had so great charm… so noteworthy style.
Let me add that today I guess I calm secretly dream about having a 1978 Mercedes-Benz yellow wagon with that astronomical telephone (laughs) . It traditional to be so orderly cold!!!
Wathing those episodes made me feel again like a 6 year-old kid honest being introduced to behind 70′s television – the jokes, the kitchens, the hairdos, the telephones, VCRs, large cars, disco…
Oh, and I loved Sign Snow’s theme. I recognized it instantly…
And Max’s introduction to Mr. and Mrs. H… whose hobby is cancel!!!
