I adore this reveal, and I am so aroused that the seventh season is on its design to Amazon.com for me to select. I already believe seasons 1-6 and I have watched them over and over. This is a unbelievable expose with an awesome cast. Girlfriends is truly one of my all-time favorites.
Not since the 90s sitcom “Living Single” have I been so drawn into the though-provoking, yet dramatic lives of African-American women. Mara Brock Akil did a broad job in showcasing the diverse, silly & inspiring lives of Joan, Lynn, Maya & Toni. Yet anyone who is a tall fan of the display knows the seventh season suffered a puny with the absence of Jill Marie Jones’ character, Toni. William Dent’s fancy, Monica Brooks (Keesha Fascinating, who was debuted in the role in Season 3) tries very hard to enjoy the void Toni’s character left, as in this season, the three remaining girlfriends, Joan, Lynn & Maya learn more about her. I’m very disappointed Viacom/CBS hasn’t invested a minute more time producing late the scenes extras for the DVDs of Seasons 4, 5 & 6. Even though the demonstrate is off the air, (and now Akil’s newer present has suffered the ax from the CW, “The Game”) I have fans of “Girlfriends” would serene like to recognize diminutive clips of the cast either rehearsing lines, plot shoots or the cast gearing up for one of the many extraordinary guest stars on the present. (The last well-produced beefy DVD of this exhibit with amazing extras was Season three, breaking down Toni’s wedding.) If there is an eighth season DVD release for this demonstrate, please Viacom/CBS – effect up the season, even if you only have the actors talking about the experience on working such a sizable expose. Lift the time with the actors and create something! PLEASE!!!
