It was only a matter of time that “The L Word” would have other countries producing shows like it. Spain gives us “Girl Meets Girl” (Wolfe Video) about the like lives of lesbians in Madrid and it is addictive. The girls are shapely and the status is tubby of twists and turns. Nines, a bartender at a lesbian bar, has sex with Monica who is honest a steady cutie. However, she runs away when things seem to win serious. Then along comes Carmen, straight but engrossing, who manages to mesmerize Nines. There is only one jam here–she is Monica’s roommate. Nines falls for Carmen and tries to pursue her but Carmen has a boyfriend and Monica has already placed her claim on her. Monica soon gets a recent roommate, Ana, who is in need of coaching in the site of female/female romance
The dialog is hot and the movie is huge fun. There are lots of laughs and it is hard not to drop for this amazing film.
